But really - this is a versatile theme that endures. And like the more general kids space bedding theme - this one is also be an inexpensive way to add some pizzaz to an otherwise boring space.
But the fun really begins with the props and accessories. Adding movie posters, figurines, murals, and light sabers will delight the child in all of us. The best part is that the kids can actually play with their room decor. For example, fill a Star Wars themed waste basket with a selection of light sabers and set this in a prominent corner - ready for an impromptu galactic battle. Or set aside a table for building a Clone Troopers Lego
Continue the theme by adding a selection of related books on the bookshelf. Of particular interest for a budding artist might be a title on how to draw Star Wars characters
Pull the theme into the bathroom with a musical Darth Vader toothbrush and coordinating shower curtain or towels.
As with the other space themed rooms - the accessories can either be specific to George Lucas' saga or be more neutral in nature. Personally, I tend to go more plain with the expensive items like area rugs and draperies and add the characters to the items in the room that don't last as long.
Regardless, Star Wars bedding is sure to be enjoyed for years to come. (And, yes, there are affiliate links in this post)
