Baby Bedding Sets

Baby bedding sets were so boring when my children were little.

I remember heading out to what was then called "Baby Superstore" and walking down rows of cribs outfitted with comforters and matching bumpers and just imagining what each set would like in my baby nursery. Those were the days!

Now it is just as easy to change nursery decor as it is to change clothes - literally. With discount stores like Amazon and Target, shopping for infants has gotten easier and surprisingly cheaper.

For my first child I looked for an infant bedding set that was kind of gender neutral. I wanted something that would fit with either a boy or a girl. I didn't know at the time if I was having a son or daughter but my practical side said that it didn't matter. Since I planned on having more than one child it made more sense to pick a theme that would last through all the kids. Well, I had planned on two kids, and four kids later my philosophy no longer applied.

My first three children were boys - and honestly, most baby bedding sets are not designed to withstand the workout that three little boys can deliver. By the time my daughter came along - I was ready for something pink and new.

I have seen some fantastic crib bedding sets recently that I just drool over. And the best part is that there is usually a coordinating set available for a twin bed as well. If your child outgrows the bedding before he or she outgrows the pattern then it is easy to get the same theme for them when they move on to the "big" bed. Also, if the infant shares a room with an older sibling then this can open up a lot of decorating options.

Whatever you are looking for, you will be able to find it! Here are some patterns that I have chosen to showcase because I just think they are awesome.
